
Castillo de Santa Barbara en Alicante

Built in Alicante on Mount Benacantil at an altitude of 169m, it is one of the most important fortresses of the Community of Valencia. The castle is an enormous molehill which is very close to the sea, which gives it an enormous strategic value since from the fortress you can see all the bay and its surroundings, also in the basement appeared vestiges of the Bronze Age and Roman era.
The castle has three distinct enclosures, the first being known as "La Torreta" which has foundations from the eleventh and thirteenth centuries.
